Charging expectations

Limited Charging Support, Not a Full Charge

Mobile golf cart charging is intended to help with an immediate low-battery situation. The amount of charge that can be provided depends on the cart, battery condition, battery voltage, charging system, available connection, location, and time required.

The goal is generally to provide enough power to move the cart to its regular charger or another nearby safe location. Charging time and usable range vary, and service cannot guarantee a specific amount of range or that a golf cart with a battery, controller, charger, wiring, or electrical fault will begin operating.

• A deeply discharged or damaged battery may not accept a charge normally.
• Mobile charging does not diagnose or repair failed batteries, chargers, controllers, wiring, or other components.
• The cart must be safely accessible to the service vehicle and charging equipment.

Compatibility

Golf Cart Compatibility Must Be Confirmed

Electric golf carts and LSVs use different battery voltages, battery types, onboard chargers, external chargers, plugs, and charging connections. Before dispatch, Roadside Responder reviews the information available to determine whether the cart may be compatible with our mobile charging equipment.

Customers should provide photos of the cart, charging port, charger plug, battery information, or data plate when requested. Clear information before dispatch reduces the chance of arriving with an incompatible charging setup.

Battery and mechanical issues

Running Out of Charge Is Not the Only Possible Problem

A golf cart that will not move may have more than a discharged battery. Battery failure, loose or damaged connections, charger problems, controller faults, solenoid issues, wiring problems, key-switch issues, and other electrical or mechanical conditions can produce similar symptoms.

Roadside Responder provides mobile charging support, not comprehensive golf cart repair. If the cart does not accept a charge or still will not operate after receiving available charging support, repair or another form of recovery may be necessary.

• Do not repeatedly operate a cart showing overheating, smoke, burning smells, sparking, leaking batteries, or damaged wiring.
• Do not attempt charging if the battery compartment appears damaged or unsafe.
• Tell Roadside Responder about unusual sounds, smells, warning lights, heat, leaks, or prior charging problems before dispatch.
• Unsafe battery or electrical conditions may prevent mobile charging service.

Roadside Responder is based in Nocatee and provides mobile golf cart charging support throughout Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra, northern St. Johns County, and nearby Northeast Florida communities when service is available.

Electric golf carts and LSVs are used in master-planned communities, golf and country-club neighborhoods, beach communities, residential developments, recreational properties, community amenity areas, and other private or permitted locations throughout the region.

When a compatible electric cart runs out of charge, we may be able to respond to accessible homes, driveways, garages, neighborhood streets, community parking areas, amenity centers, golf and country-club properties, recreational facilities, and other safe locations.

Service availability depends on the exact location, travel distance, community or gate access, parking and property restrictions, technician availability, active calls, weather, charging compatibility, and whether the service vehicle can safely and lawfully reach the cart.

Golf-cart and LSV operating rules vary by municipality, community, road, property, and vehicle classification. Listing an area below describes Roadside Responder’s potential service coverage and does not mean golf carts may legally operate on every public road or throughout every named community.

• JacksonvilleWe serve appropriate locations throughout Jacksonville, including residential communities, golf and country-club neighborhoods, private properties, recreational facilities, and other locations where the cart and service vehicle are safely accessible.

Clear Communication Before Dispatch

Roadside Responder reviews the cart information, battery and charging details, exact location, access conditions, and current symptoms before confirming service.

If the cart appears compatible and the location is accessible, we bring available mobile charging equipment to the cart. Once on-site, we confirm that the charging connection and surrounding conditions are appropriate before beginning service.

The amount of charging support and the time required vary. We explain the expected service and pricing before dispatch and communicate any limitations identified at the location.
